Huacachina Oasis

Huacachina Oasis

The Huacachina Lagoon is part of an oasis located 5 kilometers from the city of Ica. Surrounded by some of the tallest sand dunes in the world, Huacachina offers a beautiful and cool landscape in the middle of the Ica desert. Ideal to relax, it is also known for its full-speed dune rides on a buggy called "arenero". Surrounded by immense dunes several hundred meters high, one can imagine being in Northern Africa or in the Middle East, only caravans of camels are missing! You can go down these dunes on a sandboard, a device similar to a snowboard. But Huacachina is not only a place full of adrenaline, it has a charming promenade where you can go out for a walk, stop for lunch or have a drink at one of the quiet restaurants around the lagoon.
